Yes, Squirrel, heat causes cold! When you change wind patterns such as redirecting the jet stream it shoots more cold air over to one area, so that necessarily means that some other area will be warmer.
That’s why what seem to us like small changes in the global temperature cause catastrophic changes in a city over here or a coastal region over there.
There is nothing simple about fluid dynamics. That’s why we have scientists make climate predictions rather than politicians.

Global warming disrupts the old national wind pattens and makes half the country colder than it used to be and half the country hotter on any given day. That’s why they call the result ‘Global Climate Change’.
Not every voter knows that, but every scientist in the world does.

Now, I’m not a scientist or even a specialist when it comes to understanding the weather and global warming, neither is this news anchor, as I loved all the pausing it took to read from his teleprompter, but a much better understanding, and some really good evidence to consider (IMO), of global warming can be found here….

@signboyy, agreed. Erratic weather patterns are part of global warming. I’m not a fan of cap and trade, as I don’t believe government can be trusted to use financial resources to fix the problem(too corrupt), but that doesn’t mean global warming isn’t real.
