You mentioned they have a VAT on silver, do they also have a VAT on gold?
In Canada we don’t have such a tax which is odd since we’re part of the commonwealth.

Import duty is a nuisance. I have been caught out a couple of time by customs and had to pay around £24 quid on 10 oz for the privilege :/ Starting to think about getting some pre 1920 coins from ebay instead, Have you got any in your collection guild?

No prob..I understand, and we are all in this together. There are still a few actions we can take like voting, self sufficiency/protection, sound money/low debt and starving the beast (buying only necessities). It is better to get pissed off than pissed on…:-O

People whine about the premiums on silver in the US, but I guess they don’t realize how much better it is not having to pay the VAT on silver here. And there are places where you can get it close to spot here.
