Сredit repair workеd fine to fix my credit. They disputed and removed lots of bad items from my credit report. I used this service - freecreditreport.hotusa.org

How on earth did someone who is only 18 have so much debt that they had to declare bankruptcy? Most people don't get their first taste of credit until they are 18. So, that means you either bought a car that got repoed, had some credit cards you maxed out..I can't imagine how much debt an 18 year old could have had unless someone was using your ssn# to get credit in your name.

You improve your rating by paying the bills you have now on time, not carrying more than a 1/3 of your credit limit as a balance.

<a href="">Douglas</a>

When you say you've been paying on time "lately" does that mean since the bankruptcy or just within the last few months? I can not understand how someone---at only 18 years of age---could have already accumulated so much debt to justify bankruptcy. That stays on your credit report for 10 years, as I'm sure you know. Creditors could more easily forgive the indiscretion at age 18 if you had proven yourself financially responsible since then. If you havent been paying your bills properly in the 7 years since you filed bankruptcy, then the stupidity you're so annoyed at can only be directed at yourself. The only way to change your credit history is to wait until the derogatory entries automatically fall off your report, which is anywhere from 7-10 years from the time the debt was declared delinquent. If, while you're waiting, you default on another loan then you'll never improve your rating. A person can ruin their score in a split second, with one terrible choice, but it takes YEARS to repair it.

I suggest you to get a credit report. You will see exactly what is your potencially negative information so you can change it to improve your credit score.

<a href="">Diane</a>

Firstly, you need to know what your credit rating is. There a number of places where you can find this out. Exprian.com is one where they will give you a 30 day free trial, but you do need a credit card for that. Once you know what your credit rating/ report says then you can start to tackle the individual issues one by one. Hope this helps/
